FLC Fiduciary Assist ("the app," "we," "us") is built so your most sensitive information stays with you. This policy explains, plainly, what we do and don't do.
Everything you build — accounts, assets, debts, people, documents, photos you scan, and the to-do list derived from them — is stored locally on your device and encrypted (XChaCha20-Poly1305, with the key held in your device's secure keystore). It is not transmitted to us. When you scan a document, the text recognition runs on your device; the image and extracted text do not leave your phone.
The app runs entirely on your device. We do not require an account, we do not collect your name or email to use the app, and we use no advertising trackers. We never receive your estate data. The only time we receive anything you typed is if you choose to email our support team — then we have whatever you send us.
Optional anonymous analytics (opt-in, off by default). To help us improve the app, you can turn on anonymous usage data. If — and only if — you opt in, the app sends a small set of anonymous, unlinked signals: which features get used, and the names of institutions people look up (so we know which to research next). These signals are never tied to you — there is no account, no device identifier, and we do not retain the network address they arrive from, so they cannot be traced back to a person or joined into a profile. We never include your name, contact details, account numbers, balances, or any estate content. You can turn this off anytime in the app's Settings; it stays off until you choose it.
If we later add another optional feature such as encrypted cloud backup or accounts, we will update this policy and our app-store data disclosures before turning it on, and it will be clearly opt-in.
Some features may work better with AI. Where that's the case, you are presented with the option to use Google Gemini to improve an answer — for example, reading a document you scan — and you can cancel the send. This is always your choice, and by default nothing is sent. When you do choose it:
If you contact support, we use what you send only to help you. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it to train AI models.
Because your information lives on your device, it stays until you delete it in the app (Settings → Delete everything) or uninstall — we never had a copy. If we add an optional encrypted backup in the future, you'll be able to delete it at any time, with hard-deletion completed within 30 days of your request. See how to delete your data.
Depending on where you live (including under California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information, and to not have it sold or shared. Because we collect almost nothing and hold no copy of your estate data, most of this is already in your hands. We do not sell or share personal information.
On-device encryption of your data at rest, your device's secure keystore for the key, and TLS for any network communication. No method is perfect, but our local-first design means we hold almost no personal data to begin with.
The app is intended for adults handling estate matters and is not directed to children under 18.
Separately from the phone app, we offer an optional connector that lets you use FLC Fiduciary Assist inside an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT. It answers the same kinds of questions and looks up the same institution requirements, using the same rules engine and directory as the app.
What we store on our side: only non-personal reference data powers the connector — our institution directory and state probate rules. If you report a missing institution, we log only the institution's name so we can research it, never any personal or estate detail. The connector is served over HTTPS. Because we keep no personal or estate data from the connector, there is nothing on our side to delete; to remove a conversation, use your AI provider's controls.
We'll post changes here and update the date above. Questions: support@fourlinescapital.com · Support · Terms of Use.
